What you’ll do:
Work as part of a highly experienced global team to support the ongoing management and support of a large infrastructure estate that supports the various platforms that make up VIPRE Security Group. Troubleshoot, manage, and resolve escalated application errors and emerging security threats. Work with our infrastructure engineering team to assist in the diagnosis and resolution of issues.
 
What we want:
Min 6+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure support, server administration and DevOps methodologies in a mid-sized environment (1000+ server systems). Min 6+ years’ experience working with Linux servers. Have worked as a Systems Administrator/DevOPS engineer. Able to show experience of innovative solutions to complex problems. 
 
Requirements:
  • Linux Systems administration (RHEL/Centos/Ubuntu). Some Windows exposure is useful.
  • Have good knowledge and experience working with Ansible. We’re happy if you’ve used Puppet or Chef. 
  • Experience working with one or some of the HashiCorp stack components, such as Nomad, Consul, Terraform and Vault
  • Networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, basic troubleshooting). Core OS Services: SSH, Telnet, RDP, FTP, NFS, DNS, DHCP etc.
  • Knowledge of VMware and experience at scale.
  • Experience working with monitoring solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana.
  • Confident and comfortable using Python and/or Bash as a programming language. 
  • IT Hardware Concepts (RAID, SAN, x86 architecture, SCSI, FC, ethernet, iLO)
  • Base Operating System Installs and configuration
  • Have a head for troubleshooting and finding faults, recording them, and working the problems to resolution (where possible).
